WHAT’S YOUR STORY?
I grew up in a Christ-centered home with my three siblings in Magnolia, MS. I was homeschooled from kindergarten through the eighth grade and then attended South Pike High School. After graduating high school, I attended Jackson State University where I was introduced to Pastor Elbert McGowan (now the Senior Pastor of Redeemer Church, PCA) and Reformed University Fellowship (RUF). RUF was such a Blessing to me because it kept me grounded in my faith throughout my years in college. My participation in RUF gave me a deeper and more real understanding of God.
WHY ARE YOU AT THE REDEEMER’S SCHOOL?
I recently finished graduate school and was looking for an opportunity to use my gifts. Pastor El introduced me to The Redeemer’s School and I am so grateful he did. At TRS I have the ability to love our kids through teaching them the Gospel and praying with them, while helping them grow academically. It is an amazing experience! On top of that, I get to work with a group of God-fearing, encouraging, wise, hilarious people that I truly admire.
WHAT’S YOUR HOPE FOR YOUR STUDENTS?
I hope my students are able to feel the love of Christ in my classroom. Also, I pray that they are able to see God at work each day while developing an academic foundation.
