WHAT’S YOUR STORY?

I spent half of my childhood in Memphis, TN and the other half in North Carolina. I went to the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill where I received my Education/Child Development degree. I moved to Jackson three years ago with my husband Robert and son Wilkes who is now 3 years-old. Wilkes is now a big brother! We welcomed baby Anderson into our lives in April 2017!

WHY ARE YOU AT THE REDEEMER’S SCHOOL?

I have always felt a call to work with children in some capacity. I have had the opportunity to do so in various ways over the years. The Lord has used those times to reveal where my gifts and service can be best used. The Redeemer’s School is a wonderful environment for me. I have the ability to focus on a smaller number of students and identify their specific strengths and challenges. Some of the things I love most about TRS are the Gospel-centered mission and focus on the neighborhood.

WHAT’S YOUR HOPE FOR YOUR STUDENTS?

I pray that each student hears the Gospel and experiences the amazing love of Jesus Christ. I pray they know all of their teachers and school staff love them because they are made in the image of God. Our love for them is not determined by their academic success or behavior. This is only possible because that is how God loves US! I pray  each student will gain confidence to go out into the world and show others this great love. I pray they will be positive role models and make a difference in their homes and communities.
