WHAT’S YOUR STORY?

I am from Hazlehurst, MS, however Jackson has always been sort of a home away from home. I was blessed to be raised by four of the most amazing women on this planet; my mother, grandmother, great-aunt and godmother. I am forever thankful for the many lessons of love and compassion that have helped me become the person I am today. I am also elated to have a father who loves me dearly and l look forward to a future filled with joyous memories. Additionally, I am also blessed to be married into a wonderful and loving family. My best friend/husband and I are honored to share three wonderful children. We are humbled to love them unconditionally, the way our father in Heaven loves us. I truly believe God has placed my family and I right where we need to be!

WHY ARE YOU AT THE REDEEMER’S SCHOOL?

I realized my calling to teach during my high school years. I haven’t thought about my decision twice since then. I love being able to comfort children when they are struggling academically. I also enjoy being there to celebrate with them when they reach their goals. I first heard about TRS via my mother-in-law. Over time I began to research the school and consider it as an option for my son, and after further research I said to myself “hey, this would be a really good place for me!” I am delighted in the fact that I can worship open and freely and teach in the same building. I just love my new reality! I love being a part of the TRS family!

WHAT’S YOUR HOPE FOR YOUR STUDENTS?

My greatest hope for each student at TRS is that they learn that through Jesus Christ we are all MORE than conquerors and that all obstacles can be overcome. School can be frustrating for some students and I think having GOD as the head of our school makes the difference.
