WHAT’S YOUR STORY?
My family includes my husband, and three very exciting children. My kids range from preschool to elementary age, and are very creative and expressive in their own ways. My husband was born and raised in Mississippi. I grew up in Tennessee (and a few other places), but we believed that we were called to stay and raise our family in the diversity of the Jackson area. I’ve grown to love everything about Mississippi– except the heat.
WHY ARE YOU AT THE REDEEMER’S SCHOOL?
Prior to working at The Redeemer’s School I worked for a local coffee chain. I did everything from writing drink recipes, to training staff, brand managing and design work. After several years in the coffee business I sensed the Lord calling me to my next journey in life. Having the opportunity to work at The Redeemer’s School is more than I could have hoped or imagined. Serving at TRS combines all of the things I love and am passionate about: music, art, teaching, and kids!
WHAT’S YOUR HOPE FOR YOUR STUDENTS?
My hope and goal is for each student to become more aware of the amazing Creator, the loving Redeemer, and the holy Comforter that is our God. I have strong memories throughout my life of how God gave me joy and relief as I sang or worked on an art project. He gives us these gifts to express how we are like Him and also to help us as we navigate a sometimes hard world. I pray that each of these students would recognize in their hearts and minds that they are created in God’s image.
