WHAT’S YOUR STORY?
I was born and raised on the Northside of Chicago, IL. I attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where I received my bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. After undergraduate school I earned my master’s degree in Public Affairs Reporting from the University of Illinois at Springfield.
Shortly after earning my degrees I followed my lifelong dream to work as a television reporter. My first reporting job was at WTVO in Rockford, Illinois. After two years in Rockford I was hired at WLBT in Jackson, MS. I reported the news for WLBT for just about six years before beginning my position at The Redeemer’s School.
Outside of work I love to dance (my favorites are Chicago Stepping and Salsa), exercise, travel, laugh and spend time with family and friends. I also enjoy teaching Sunday School to five and six year-olds at Redeemer Church, PCA.
WHY ARE YOU AT THE REDEEMER’S SCHOOL?
I had a desire to work in ministry and the Lord answered my prayers. I believe God strategically placed me at The Redeemer’s School to serve families longing to provide their children with an excellent Christian education. I truly enjoy working at TRS. My co-workers are amazing, the children and families are sweet and the environment is refreshing!
WHAT’S YOUR HOPE FOR YOUR STUDENTS?
My hope for TRS students is for them to accept Christ as their Savior and to develop an intimate relationship with the Lord. Life without Christ is hard enough, so I pray each and every single student will learn to abide in Him and seek His presence in good and bad times. My hope is also that students will become bold in their faith and share the Gospel with their circle of influence and beyond. I pray peace, good health and joy for each of the students and their families.
